The Junior Summer Fellowship program helps selected juniors extend their knowledge beyond the boundaries of the traditional classroom in destinations around the world.  The Junior Summer Fellowships program initiates and supports curricula and programs that

  • help students recognize how differing cultures, traditions, histories, and religions underlie views and values that may agree — or contrast — with their own
  • promote appreciation of students’ cultural and global responsibility.

Up to seven fellowships in the amount of up to $4000 will be awarded to current 11th grade students to enable the recipients to discover and explore some area of interest during the summer between the Junior and Senior year.  An outstanding fellowship proposal will describe a unique and immersive experience that will broaden and deepen the student’s understanding of himself/herself/themself and the world.  While this usually involves travel, that is not a requirement.
